Government committed to ensure justice to all: Nitish

Patna, Dec 2 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today reiterated his government's commitment to ensure justice to all sections of the society irrespective of caste and creed.

Addressing at a function here after laying the foundation of various developmental projects worth Rs 4.5 crores, Mr Kumar said that steps had already been initiated to ensure women empowerment.In this connection, he cited fifty per cent provision of reservation for women in panchayats and local bodies.

'' Without hurting the interests of the dalits, the state government was exploring ways and means to bring Maha dalits (most down trodden) in mainstream of the society,'' Mr Kumar said, adding extremely backward classes and scheduled castes were also being given due attention by the state government for their upliftment.
