Fake currency racket busted, three arrested

New Delhi, Dec 2 (UNI) The Delhi Police have busted a racket involving printing and distribution of counterfeit currency notes in the city and arrested three persons in this connection.

Counterfeit currency notes worth over Rs 2 crores were recovered from an illegal mint running in the Ram Nagar area in East Delhi yesterday.

Water marks of Mahatma Gandhi, RBI thread, two computers, printer, fax machines, toner, paints and screen plate were recovered from the place, which belonged to one Lokesh, who has been running the illegal business for long.

Amit, who was running the business along with Lokesh, was arrested after the police nabbed Vinay and Ravi, who bought the counterfeit currency from Amit, Lokesh and another person Nonu.
