Observe transparency in alloting spectrum : Congress

New Delhi, Nov 30 (UNI) Asserting that the government was ''technology-neutral'', the Congress today said the spectrum for mobile telecom operators should be allotted in a transparent way.

''There should not be any confusion in this regard,'' AICC spokesman Shakeel Ahmad told mediapersons, in reply to questions on allegations over favouritism in allocating spectrum to telecom operators.

Mr Ahmad, who is also Minister of State for Communication, said the Department of Telecommunication was currently in the process of holding series of discussions on spectrum with all stakeholders.

He said a decision would be taken after the discussions.
