Manmohan greets Musharraf on re-election

Islamabad, Dec 1: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today greeted Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on his re-election and hoped ties between the two countries will further enhance for peace and stability in the region.

In his message to General(Retd) Musharraf, the Prime Minister extended his greetings and felicitations, on behalf of the government and people of India, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.

''My government is committed to the establishment of good neighbourly relations in all spheres between India and Pakistan,'' the message released from the Pakistan's Foreign Office said.

''We look forward to further enhancing our ties for the mutual benefit of our people and in the wider interest of peace, stability and welfare in our region,'' Dr Singh added.
