AP Cabinet nod for Ordinance on unauthorised constructions

Hyderabad, Dec 1 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet today approved the promulgation of Ordinance to regulate and penalise unauthorised constructions and enhance penalties for violations of approved building plans.

Talking to newspersons here, Information Minister A Ramanarayana Reddy and Municipal Administration Minister K Ranga Rao said the AP Urban Areas(Development) Act, 1975, Muncipalities Act, 1965, AP Corporation Acts, 1994 and Hyderabad Muncipal Corporations Act, 1955, would be amended to provide deterrent punishment to owners or builders undertaking illegal constructions and violating approved building plans.

The Cabinet also approved rules and regulations of unapproved and illegal layaouts, to bring them into the mainstream of planned development in areas falling under the Master plan limits in the state, they added.
