8th India-EU Summit begins

New Delhi, Nov 30, 2007 : The 8th India-EU annual summit began in national capital New Delhi on Friday the 30th November .The summit gives room for discussions which are based on areas of mutual interest between India and the EU. The EU is being represented by Portuguese Prime Minister Jose Socrates, and the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso, while the Indian side is being led by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh accompanied by Foreign Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Commerce Minister Kamal Nath and National Security Advisor M. K. Narayanan.
