Hand painted posters on display in Goa

Panaji, Nov 29, 2007 : Hand painted Bollywood cinema posters on display in India's coastal Goa may soon become a thing of the past with the coming in of digital technology that is threatening the future of old-time poster artists.

The advertisers" preference for computer and plastic technology has driven artists into despair. This once flourishing art of hand painted Bollywood film posters, a technique as old as the film industry itself, an exhibition cum workshop is being held in Goa's Panaji.
