Gene FTO makes people get overweight

New Delhi, Nov 29, 2007 :Do you put on weight easily? Blame it on your genes. Research teams at the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge in Britain have carried out a study and discovered a gene called FTO - the presence of which makes people more likely to become overweight.

So, now science seems to have found the answer to the question as to why some people put on weight so easily while others following a similar diet and fitness regimen don"t.
