Refugees protest in Jammu

Jammu, Nov 29 (UNI) Demanding their permanent settlement here, hundreds of refugees from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) and west Pakistan took out a protest rally here.

Joint front of DPS of Jammu and Kashmir organised the protest rally yesterday demanding permanent settlement of the displaced.

Carrying banners and placards, the refugees shouted anti-government slogans.

They alleged the government denied them of basic rights for the last 60 years and they are not provided land or adequate relief.

The demands included compensation to the displaced persons of 1947, 1965 and 1971 against the losses of life and property.
