SP alleges anarchy in UP

Lucknow, Nov 28 (UNI) Flaying the Mayawati led-Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) government in Uttar Pradesh, opposition Samajwadi Party (SP) today alleged that anarchy prevailed under the present regime.

''Even, Mayawati accepted the fact during a meeting with district magistrates and SSPs yesterday night in the state capital,'' SP state unit spokesperson Rajendra Chaudhary said here.

''The Friday's coordinated blasts in Faizabad, Lucknow and Varanasi courts have exposed the loopholes in the state intelligence. Had the intelligence been effective, innocents would not have been killed,'' the SP leader noted.

Expressing concern over the 'dismal' law and order situation in UP, he charged since the day, Mayawati took oath as CM, organised crime started soaring. ''The CM does not believe in democracy...even there is a deep-rooted conspiracy behind passing of the UP Control of Organised Crime Act (UPCOCA) in the state legislative assembly.'' UPCOCA will be used to jail SP leaders, Mr Chaudhary underlined.
