Durga temple nets over Rs 64 lk hundi collection

Vijayawada, Nov 28: The famed Kanakadurga temple here netted a hundi collection of Rs 64.57 lakh during the last 30 days.

A release from the Sri Durga Malleswaraswamy Varla Devasthanam here today said the collection included 166 USD, 140 Canadian dollars, four Singapore dollars, Indian currency and coins.

The devotees also offerred 458 gm of gold and more than four kg of silver to goddess Durga, the release added.
