POTA repealed under terrorists' pressure: BJP

Siddharthnagar, Nov 27 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh BJP unit President Ramapati Ram Tripathi has alleged that the central government repealed POTA under the pressure of terrorists.

''The failure of central government policies has only given impetus to terrorist activities in the country,'' the BJP leader claimed talking to newspersons here last night.

As many as 34 districts of UP are affected with Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI activities, Mr Tripathi added.

The BJP leader blamed both the central and state governments for laxity in the backdrop of serial bomb blasts in courts at Varanasi, Faizabad and Lucknow, which had claimed 13 lives and wounded over 70 people.
