My views on Allopathy always create controversy: Baba Ramdev

Bokaro, Nov 27 (UNI) Yog Guru Baba Ramdev has asserted that lack of awarenes about Yoga and Aurveda among allopathic doctors often created controversies over his speeches about the latter.

''My speeches regarding the allopathic mode of treament always generate controversy because the allopathic doctors are not taught about Yoga and Aurveda,'' Baba Ramdev said in a discussion with the doctors here yesterday.

He said the allopathic mode was adopted by western countries and the syllabuses of medical sciences did not incorporate Yoga and Ayurveda.

He said his centre was trying to develop an alternative mode of treatment with the help of Ayurveda, Yoga as well as modern modes of treatment.

Meanwhile, doctors present at the discusion said treatment of serious diseases was not possible only by practising Yoga.

Indian Medical Association district unit secretary Dr Ratan Kejriwal said people joining the Yoga camp often abstained from allopathic medicines which could sometimes prove fatal for them.
