Meerut social welfare officer suspended

Lucknow, Nov 27 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Minister Indrajeet Saroj today suspended Meerut district social welfare officer Kusum Kumra for dereliction of duty.

Ms Kumra was found guilty of laxity in marriage, illness and scholarship distribution schemes, Mr Saroj informed.

Meanwhile, all district social welfare officials had been directed to pace up the departmental schemes on priority basis.
