Medicos strike for second day today against mandatory rural posting
Jaipur, Nov 27 (UNI) Medicos continued their strike for the second day today in protest against the proposal of mandatory rural posting for a year before being awarded medical degrees.
Medicos of the Rabindranath Tagore Medical College in Udaipur took out a procession and a dharna before the collectorate, before handing over a memorandum to the Prime Minister and the Union Health Minister, opposing the implementation of the proposal.
The medicos are agitated over the new proposal of the Medical Council of India, adding one year on their course with a mandatory rural posting for one year as part of their curriculum.
The students of the medical colleges of Ajmer, Bikaner, Kota and Jodhpur are on strike over the issue for the second day today.
