EC allows three vehlces to candidates for filing nominations

Shimla, Nov 27 (UNI) The Election Commission (EC) has directed that the maximum number of vehicles that would be allowed to come within the periphery of 100 metres of Returning Officers, Assistant Returning Officers office would not bemore than three.

Chief Electoral Officer Manisha Nanda said the maximum number of persons that would be allowed to enter the office of Returning Officers, Assistant Returning Officers at time of filling nomination would be the candidate plus four other individuals.

The expenditure on the vehicle that would be coming along with the candidate at the time of the filling of nominations would be taken into account for calculating his expenditure if he remained in the fray, she added.
