Dimasa rebels massacre mill workers in Assam, toll thirteen

Guwahati, Nov 27 (UNI) At least 13 people were killed in two separate bloody violent incidents when Dimasa militants attacked two saw mills this evening near Umrangso in North Cachar Hills, Assam, official sources said.

They said the Dimasa gunmen attacked two saw mills located at ''fourteen kilo'' near Umrangso opened and fire killing at least twelve workers as first reports came in tonight.

All the victims were workers of the saw mills.

The massacre occurred at around 2030 hours, police said.

In a separate incident one Dimasa militant was killed by a faction taking the toll to 13.
