Decision on Prasar Bharti employees' service conditions soon

New Delhi, Nov 27 (UNI) The regulations with regard to recruitment, remuneration and service conditions in respect of 122 categories of employees of the Prasar Bharti have since been notified and those in respect of remaining categories of employees are ready in draft form, the Lok Sabha was informed today.

However, these regulations could not be implemented, as these were not acceptable to the various employees associations, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi said in a reply to written questions.

He said the matter had been referred to a Group of Ministers (GoM) for taking a decision. "The consideration of the matter by GoM is in the final stage," he added.

Mr Dasmunsi said professional officers from within Doordarshan and All India Radio were regularly promoted when their promotion is due.
