Udaipur, Nov 27(UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) will seek votes on the plank of better fiscal management, modern development and effective implementation of the programmes and policies of the government in the state, state unit president Dr Mahesh Sharma said today.

Addressing a press conference Dr Mahesh Sharma said the party would organise a large rally coinciding with the completion of four years of the Vasundhara Raje government in the state on December 8 in Jaipur.

Dr Sharma said ''the party is really proud of the achievements of the government and the BJP government has done a commendable job in all sectors during the last four years''.

Talking about the Taslima issue the party president said ''whether fugitive writer Taslima be given political asylum is an issue to be decided by the central government. But the Rajasthan government deserves a pat on its back for its bold decision to treat Taslima as a state guest after she was shunted out of kolkata by the Bengal government''.

Dr Sharma ruled out any adverse impact on the electoral fortunes of his party due to the entry of Uma Bharti and BSP in Rajasthan.

When asked about the land grabing charges being leveled against the BJP ministers he said without concrete proof he would not talk on the issue and challenged their oppononts to approch the court if they have any evidence.
