All flights except Haj again cancelled in Kashmir
Srinagar, Nov 27 (UNI) Barring a flight of Indian carrying Jammu and Kashmir Haj pilgrims to Jeddah, no airline could operate its services to and fro the Valley due to heavy fog and poor visibility at the Srinagar Airport for the second consecutive day today.
Airport sources told UNI that no flight, except the one carrying Haj pilgrims to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, could either land or take off from the Srinagar Airport due to heavy fog cover and poor visibility in the area since early this morning.
Giving details, they said the heavy fog forced cancellation of all the flights of Jet Airways, Indian, SpiceJet, GoAir, Kingfisher, Jetlite and Deccan. Some of the airlines operate two flights a day.
Yesterday, even the Haj flight could not take off from here.
