Bhopal, Nov 27 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government's second supplementary budget of Rs 2,147.07 crore for the fiscal 2007-08 was presented by Finance Minister Raghavji in the Assembly today.

Nothing was audible when Mr Raghavji presented the supplementary demands amid pandemonium with the entire Opposition Members raising slogans demanding Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan's resignation on the 'dumper issue' after a First Information Report (FIR) was registered by the Lokayukt Special Police Establishment against him and his wife following a local special court's directive for an inquiry.

Mr Raghavji presented the supplementary budget when Speaker Ishwardas Rohani rushed through the entire official business in ten minutes before adjourning the House for the day.

According to an official release, the supplementary budget provides Rs 10 crore for construction of court buildings, Rs 301 crore for road-laying, Rs 157.75 crore for rural water supply and Rs 26 crore for rehabilitation of forest villages. It also provides Rs 3.31 crore for assistance to Tamil Nadu's tsunami-affected people.
