Six bomb blasts killed atleast 13 people and injured about 70 in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. The near simultaneous blasts rocked of Varanasi, Faizabad and Lucknow.
President of IMC-US Rasheed Ahmed denounced the attacks, calling them an attempt to terrorise and divide society on communal lines and influence the judiciary and legal system of India.
Extremism and terrorism must not be allowed to affect the Indian justice system. An open and speedy investigation into these acts will go far in discouraging their recurrence, he said yesterday.
