Leading bands from SAARC nations to perform in city
New Delhi, Nov 26 (UNI) A three-day ''SAARC Bands Festival'' with bands presenting various genres of music ranging from ethnic to the fusion will be showcased here from November 30.
The performance by leading music bands like the ''Indian Ocean'' ''Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy'' ''Strings'' from Pakistan, ''Aryan Band'' Afghanistan, ''Zero Degree Atoll'' Maldives, ''Stigmata'' Sri Lanka, Bangla Fusion Band'' Bangladesh, ''Abhaya and the Steam Injuns'' (Nepal), promises to be a novelty for Delhiites.
The SAARC nations are coming together in this unique cultural endeavor and India which assumed the chair for SAARC this year, is hosting the region's first ever ''SAARC Bands Festival.'' The festival being organised by Indian Council of Cultural Relations in collaboration with Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and SEHER will be held from November 30 to December 2.
