Japan hit by 6.2 magnitude earthquake-USGS
WASHINGTON, Nov 26 (Reuters) A 6.2 magnitude earthquake hit near the city of Iwaki in Japan today, the US Geological Survey said, revising it to a slightly stronger quake than it initially reported.
The quake was centered 68 km northeast of Iwaki, Honshu, and struck at 1921 IST at a depth of 27km, the USGS said.
The agency earlier said the quake was a 6.0 magnitude, and was centered 72 km northeast of Iwaki, striking at a depth of 39 km.
