Three NLFT militants killed in Tripura

Agartala, Nov 25: The Assam Rifles jawans have gunned down three hardcore NLFT militants in Champhaur area in west Tripura last night.

Police said here today that 15 Bn Assam Rifles carried out a combing operation following a tip off and killed the listed militants.

However, a few of them managed to escape from the scene.

A huge contingent of ammunition, three AK-47 rifles, grenades and explosives were recovered from them.

Meanwhile, joint operations have been launched against the fled militants and the BSF was also asked to maintain vigil along Indo-Bangladesh border in Khowai.
