NCC playing key role in promoting secularism : YSR

Hyderabad, Nov 25 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekahra Reddy today said the National Cadet Corps (NCC) was playing an important role in character building, secularism, developing a spirit of adventure and national integration amongst the youth of the country.

Participating in the 59th Raising Day anniversary of the NCC here, Dr Reddy expressed hope that the NCC would continue to play even greater role in the country's defence and make youth better citizens in the years to come.

NCC Deputy Director General Air Commodore AC Bharali distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions held last year.

Cadet Ankita Sista received the All India Best Cadet trophy. The Best Inter Group Trophy was received by Col P V Mohan, Group Commander of Kakinada.
