Finance deptt assistant suspended for irregularities in flood relief

Patna, Nov 25 (UNI) Bihar government has suspended Balaji Arindam, an assistant of State Finance Department with immediate effect for deliberately supressing a file relating to flood relief work.

Official sources here today said the assistant was suspended on the directions of Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, who also holds the finance portfolio.

According to charges, Mr Arindam had deliberately delayed putting up the file so as to purchase of some relief materials before his seniors, because of which relief work was adversely affected.

Taking serious note of the act of the said officer, Mr Modi had ordered for initiating action against Mr Arindam.
