Dubai, Nov 24 (UNI) An Indian expatriate labourer in Bahrain who was not able to return to his home in Chennai for 20 years will finally be reunited with his family, thanks to help from a Pravasi body.

PK Ambalam, 60, a free visa worker had completed a six month jail sentence recently but had no identity documents to return to Chennai. He has not seen his family for the last 20 years since he came to work in Bahrain as a labourer with a construction company, the Gulf Daily News reported.

Volunteers of Pravasi Association of Angamaly Nedumbassery (PAAN) took up his case and now he has got an outpass to travel to India under the government's general amnesty.

Ambalam will be reunited with his 80-year-old mother, wife, aged 50, son, and daughter, aged 29 and 27 at Chennai soon.
