Police sources said the van, in which the miscreants came to the TNCC headquarters to attack the State Youth Congress chief was also impounded last evening.
The arrested were Nicholson (30), the driver and the owner of the van, and Madan (21), who was one of the hired goons involved in the attack. The duo was produced before a Magistrate and remanded in 15 days judicial custody.
Police are on the look out for Prabhu, who had hired the vehicle to carry out the attack.
With this, six people have been arrested in connection with the stabbing incident allegedly carried out by Congress Councillor ''Saidai'' Williams, a supporter of former State Youth Congress Chief and TNCC President M Krishnasamy's son M K Vishnu Prasad, who is also an MLA.
Soon after the incident, police arrested Williams and his aide Mohan. Later, Youth Congress functionary Sarvanan was also arrested, after which Youth Congress Vice-Prsident Rathnakumar surrendered before a court.
Acting on a complaint from Jayakumar, police had registered cases against 19 people and cited Dr Prasad as the prime accused in the case. Williams was cited as the second accused in the FIR.
Apprehending his arrest, Dr Prasad had already moved the High Court, which had restrained the police from arresting him for two weeks.
