Sugar prices ease again on large arrival of stocks
Navi Mumbai, Nov 23 (UNI) Wholesale spot sugar prices today declined by Rs 15 on poor bulk consumers demand in the face of large arrival of stocks from co-operative mills, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.
Prices of small grade and medium grades dropped by Rs ten and Rs 15 per quintal respectively on sustained heavy offers by stockists because of better ready stocks in the domestic markets.
Sugar in ex-mill small and medium grades also dropped by Rs ten per quintal each due to sluggish demand by big dealers, traders added.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,325/1,386, Medium grade: Rs 1,365/1,490.
Ex-mill Small grade: Rs 1,290/1,330, Medium grade: Rs 1,345/1,400.
