Schools for denotified tribes in MP

Bhopal, Nov 23 (UNI) With a view to provide education to the wards of denotified tribe people in Madhya Pradesh, the State government has decided to open 51 hostels for girls and boys.

The hostels, having a capacity of 50 seats each, will be open round the year and will begin from class one. Members of scheduled castes and tribes would be enrolled on vacant seats, but for a particular academic session only.

A decision in this regard was taken yesterday by the State cabinet presided over by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan here, an official release said today.

Contract teacher (grade II) with a consolidated pay of Rs 3500 per month would be appointed as superintendent of the hostel. Three posts of class four employees and one part-time sanitary worker have also been sanctioned for each hostel.

While filling the newly created posts, priority in compassionate appointment would be given to dependents of SC and ST employees, who have been ''murdered'', the release added.
