Power Grid enters into JV with Reliance Energy
New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) State-run power distribution firm Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd today formed a joint venture with Reliance Power Ltd for executing about 300 km transmission lines from Parbati to Koldam and Koldam to Ludhiana.
The company will have a 26 per cent equity holding in the JV while the rest will be held by Reliance Energy Ltd, it said in a statement.
The shareholders' agreement and other agreements to this effect were signed between the company and Reliance Energy Ltd here.
The above lines are part of elements of the transmission system associated with Generation Projects viz Parbati-II HEP and Koldam HEP.
NHPC is setting up 800 MW Parbati-II HER and NTPC is establishing 800 MW Koldam HEP in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
