MphasiS opens BPO centre for Idea Cellular in Indore

New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) Software and back-office services company MphasiS Ltd today launched a new business process outsourcing (BPO) facility at Indore that would do work exclusively for mobile firm Idea Cellular.

The centre will provide contact centre services to Idea Cellular, company said in a statement.

MphasiS, majority owned by the US computer services firm Electronic Data Systems is planning to increase its headcount at Indore centre to 1,500 from 750 in the next year.

This is the fifth MphasiS BPO facility that caters exclusively to the domestic BPO space, the other four being Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Noida and Puducherry.

In August, MphasiS had set up a similar facility for Bharti Airtel in south India.
