Mayawati greets people on Guru Nanak Jayanti

Lucknow, Nov 23 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti.

The CM observed that the message of the great Sikh saint Guru Nanak was for the welfare of the whole mankind.

''Guru Nanak gave the message of unity and harmony,'' she added.

Ms Mayawati has appealed the people to celebrate the day with the sentiments of peace and brotherhood.
