Indian economy is vibrant: Mathews

Kottayam, Nov 23 (UNI) International Business Services (IBS) Chairman&CMD, V K Mathews said India would become the third biggest economy in the world by 2020.

Mr Mathews was inaugurating 'Simthesis Vajra 2007,' Management Meet at the Saintgits Institute of Management here today.

India was growing very well and strong thanks to the prevailing democracy he said and added that our economy was extremely vibrant and fundamentals were very strong. A middle-class Indian would have the same purchasing power of an American.

Entrepreneurs with good concept and ability to execute it without any blemish was the need of the hour, he reminded the young aspirant managers.

Addressing the meeting Dr(Colonel) P S James, Dean of the Institute said the concept of the Meet was based on innovation and execution, which was the hallmark of the Institute.

CEO, Punnose George and other prominent persons addressed the meeting.

Prominent business schools from Chennai, Bangalore, Kochi and other areas were participating in the meet.
