India hopes Pakistan to return to democracy
Kampala, Nov 23 (UNI) Reacting to Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group's decision to suspend Pakistan from the group, India today hoped that the country would soon return to stability and democracy.
''We have noted the decision of the CMAG which decided to suspend Pakistan where restoration of democracy and the rule of law is still pending,'' said a spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs.
The CMAG meeting was chaired by Foreign Minister of Malta Michael Frendo and attended by ministers of Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Canada, Lesotho, Guinea, United Kingdom and St Lucia.
