HM ultra surrenders in Jammu

Jammu, Nov 23 (UNI) A militant of the Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin (HM) outfit today surrendered before the security forces in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources said.

Mohd Mansha, alias Muddasir Iqbal (25), a resident of tehsil Mahore in the Reasi district, laid down his arms before the DIG, Udhampur-Reasi range, 54 Rashtriya Rifles, sources added.

''One AK-47 rifle, three AK-magazines, 89 AK rounds, one wireless set I-Com, one Motorola walkie-talkie, one mobile phone and a pouch are also recovered from him,'' sources told UNI.

Mansha's surrender will be a big setback for the HM outfit as he was active in Mahore area since 2000, sources added.
