New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) Security in the Capital city has been beefed up in the wake of the powerful blasts in Uttar Pradesh, which killed 13 people and left over 60 others injured, police said.
''Security in Delhi has been heightened following the blasts, especially in public places like markets, community halls, cinema halls, shopping malls and court complexes,'' Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said.
He said increased patrolling was being carried out at all the above places.
Further, the security apparatus around Parliament had also been beefed up, he said.
In a planned operation, terrorists today carried out near-simultaneous six powerful blasts at district courts in Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad.
