Bangalore, Nov 23 (UNI) Ruling out the formation of a new government in Karnataka by joining hands with Janata Dal(S), State Congress President Mallikarjuna Kharge today said his party was for a fresh mandate from the people.

Talking to newspersons here, after holding a day-long meeting with state party leaders and office bearers, he announced 'Jana Jagrithi Andholana', to create awareness among the people about the ''mis-rule of BJP and JD(S) government in the state,'' would be launched at Chitradurga in December first week. The party high command had already decided to go for elections and there was no change in the stand, he said.

A workshop on the process of enumeration of voters list would also be organised, in which all the Congress candidates contested in 2004 Assembly elections, AICC members, District and Block presidents of the party would be invited, he said.

He hoped the party's rank and file would co-operate to enroll over ten lakh new members for the Youth Congress as instructed by the Party Leader and Lok Sabha Member Rahul Gandhi.
