Citizens for Justice and Peace condemn UP blasts

Mumbai, Nov 23 (UNI) The Citizens for Justice and Peace today strongly condemned the blasts in district court premises in Lucknow, Varanasi and Faizabad.

''We express our deep condolences to the bereaved families. We also appeal to all persons, in power and in public life, to exercise restraint and caution so that the fallout of the terror act does not result in more hatred and retributory violence,'' a statement issued by social and civil liberty activist Teesta Setalvad said today.

''Only lasting peace and inter community trust and tolerance can combat the politics of bomb terror and mob terror,'' she said in the statement.
