Chargesheet against an IAS officer
Patna, Nov 23 (UNI) The Bihar State Vigilance Investigation Bureau today submitted chargesheet against Fakhre Alam, an IAS officer, in a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case.
The chargesheet was submitted by the bureau in the court of designated vigilance judge of Patna S K Panwar under various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act.
According to the charges, Mr Alam had amassed wealth of over Rs 11.21 lakh - disproportionate to his all known sources of income during the period of 1965 to 1998.
Mr Alam joined the post of deputy collector in Bihar in 1965.
After the promotion, Mr Alam was posted as vice-chairman of Patna Regional Development Authority(PRDA) and also as an Additional Secretary in Institutional Finance and Programme Implementation Department of Bihar.
The case was registered in 2000.
