BSNL may call off deal with Nokia

New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) State-owned telecom giant Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today said it is considering various options as Nokia Siemens Networks has not yet accepted an order for GSM lines.

''We are considering various options and are in talks with Ericsson to give them the Nokia's order as well as negotiating with Nokia Siemens,'' BSNL's Chairman and Managing Director Kuldeep Goyal told reporters here.

If any of these options do not fructify, the company plans to go for fresh tender without scrapping earlier order, Mr Goyal said.
