Bomb detonated in Manipur

Imphal, Nov 23 (UNI) Manipur police today detonated a bomb at Canchipur in Imphal.

Police said local residents detected a bomb and informed the police, following which a team of the bomb disposal squad detonated it.

A bomb was also detonated yesterday at Singjamei in Imphal.

Large numbers of security personnel were pressed into service along with bomb detectors and dogs to detect IEDs and bombs, as cases of planting of bombs by suspected militants had been increasing.
