Bank manager sent to jail

Patna, Nov 23 (UNI) The special vigilance judge of Patna S K Panwar today remanded a bank manager to judicial custody till December 6 for being involved in a bribery case.

During the day accused Lakshmi Narayan, manager of Madhya Bihar Gramin Bank, Kespa branch at Alipur in Gaya district of Bihar, was produced before the designated judge by the officials of state vigilance investigation bureau after his arrest from Gaya yesterday.

According to the charges, the accused manager was arrested by the vigilance sleuths in his office while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a customer of bank on November 22, 2007.
