Announce financial package for Arunachal: Rijiju

New Delhi, Nov 22 (UNI) Mr Khiren Rijiju (BJP) today demanded in the Lok Sabha a financial package for Arunachal Pradesh for rebuilding the roads and bridges damaged in the 2005 floods.

Raising the issue during zero hour, Mr Rijiju said the need for such a package had been acknowledged by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the Planning Commission and the National Disaster Management Authority.

However, the Home Ministry for some unexplicable reasons was not sanctioning the funds, he said and sought an immediate package for restoring the road communication in his state.
