Alert in K'taka following UP blasts
Bangalore, Nov 23 (UNI) A high alert has been sounded in Karnataka following serial bomb blasts in Lucknow, Faizadabad and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh in which more than 13 people were killed and 50 injured today.
Additional Director General of Police Jyotiprakash Mirji told UNI that additional forces would be deployed in sensitive places and near Vidhana Soudha, the State Secretariat and High Court in the city.
Close watch would be maintained on the State boundaries, near Railway and bus stations. The assengers arriving from outside were subjected to screening, he added.
