Youth dies in firing at marriage in UP

Jaunpur, Nov 22: Marriage celebrations turned tragic following the death of a youth in a firing at 'jaymala' ceremony in Sikrara area of this district.

The incident took place late last night in Janardan Yadav's house at Ramnagar Reethi village, where Vijay Bahadur (15), a cook hailing from Pratapgarh, became the target of the stray bullet.

He died on the spot, police said today adding that the body was later recovered.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Lalji Shukla said, '' the arms licenses of those, who open fire at marriages, would soon be cancelled.''
