Pigrimage to Pakistan

Amritsar, Nov 21, 2007 : Over three thousand Indian Sikh pilgrims left for Pakistan on Nov 21st to attend the celebration of the 539th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikh religion.

The birth anniversary is on November 24. The groups left for Pakistan in a train to the Sikh holy city of Nankana Sahib, birthplace of Guru Nanak, despite emergency being imposed there. The group includes 1700 SGPC members and Sikh devotees from various parts of India.
