today
entered
into
a
Rs
100
crore-contract
with
Hewlett-Packard
(HP)
for
complete
turnkey
solutions
in
core
insurance.
United India Insurance Chairman and Managing Director G Srinivasan told newspersons here today that under the contract, signed for seven years, HP would supply, customise, implement and maintain core and other application software and hardware systems.
At the end of contract, the solution would seamlessly be handed over to United India personnel.
The solution would deliver innovative processing concepts and sophisticated internet-based delivery channels to capitalise future channels to markets, he said, adding it would also automate and streamline United India's whole insurance value-chain from back-office administration to online claims and business performance reporting.
The project involved implementation of insurance products, the creation of an online capability and effective business practices.
HP would implement SAP ERP platform for enterprise wide financial accounting and human capital management solution, he said.
