Road accident kills six in UP

Mirzapur, Nov 22 (UNI) At least six persons were killed and two others severely injured in separate road accidents here during the last 24 hours.

According to police, an SUV dashed against a truck near village Lohara in Ahraura area, killing three persons, including a women, on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Shiv Kumar (30), Devendra Pratap (26) and Meera Singh (28).

In a separate incident, a head-on collision between a jeep and a truck in Madihan area killed two persons and grievously injured as many others.

The injured were admitted to the Mirzapur Sadar Hospital in a life threatening condition.

The identity of the dead was established as Ravi Shanker Pathak and Lalvrat Maurya.

Later, in another separate incident, one bicycle-borne Ram Narayan was mowed to death by an unidentified vehilce at village Rajgarh Dadra.
